There is a bit of a difference between laughing off silly accusations/demands and "going to war". Besides i agree with >>8, people that get disturbed because "OMG!!! There. Is. Some. Dust. On. The. Cupboard." make lousy "soldiers". Not to mention, if anyone "started war" it was them. You NEVER throw away stuff that doesn't belong to you. How much you think it's useless garbage doesn't matter at all. If there is anyone around, who even might see some usefulness in what you are looking at, you fucking ask. It's called respecting your fellow humans and not feeling to adhere to this says a lot about a person.
