so instead of blowing everybody up, the ai's going to make everybody lonely and depressed

nice

Meh. AI chatbots can't replace actual friends. It will replace the retarded social media that tries to convince you dwelling on their site and enjoying the constant dopamine drip of auto-curated posts is a substitute for friends. That's not a bad thing.

Also, the model doesn't matter as much as you might think, you probably don't need gpt3. The training data changes what the chatbot's "skills" are and the parameter count generally changes its "resolution for nuance" but you can get a decent chatbot out of even 350 million parameter codegen though with the appropriate zero-shot context. I have one running on my el-cheapo celleron laptop.

Would be interesting to lurk and watch inscrutable bot memes develop.

IA should be all destroyed, this is part of what makes the future more and more horrible (even though genetic manipulations are a lot worst).

The older I get the more I think people who don’t like other people and don’t like themselves should be euthanized

10 2023-11-12 09:52

I wouldn't mind that. I am too much of a coward to do it myself, but I fully understand that the world would be a better place without my lonely ass.

The problem is liberalism. If you cannot exert agency over individuals without their consent, the polity leaks out functionality through self-imposed malcontent (e.g. mental illness, obesity, malingering) without amelioration until revolution is inevitable because said malcontent spreads organically. If paternal authority and responsibility (i.e. pater familias in the early republic) were reestablished and familial control became absolute, this wouldn't be a problem as subsidiarity would naturally resolve fuck-ups at the local level rather than cascading to infect the body politic.

The real solution is a monoclonal biosphere, all lifeforms should be clones of the same great man

what do you think is happening

12>> Wow. Not all humans, but all life forms.

What part of either "monoclonal" or "biosphere" did you not understand?

Fat people and mental illness are caused by cars and television not by lack of wife beating third world style men

That sounds very unhealthy. I did not know this about Americans. That they eat the burgers, yes, but not their cars and televisions.

19 2023-11-23 00:19

Is textboard.org an anti-mental-illness safe space?

20 2023-11-23 00:34

oxymoron
