UNIX wasn't invented in Berkeley either. The LSD part probably refers to Owsley Stanley, "the first known private individual to manufacture mass quantities of LSD". Textboard.org users might better know him as "Bear", the sound-engineer of the Grateful Dead. The original quote is
Two of the most famous products of Berkeley are LSD and Unix. I don’t think that is a coincidence.
