Death really hurts because of sin and sin is so painful because the law condemns. 1 Corinthians 15:57 "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Christ fulfills the law rendering no condemnation thus the sting of death has lost its sharp teeth.
