technical itch's ambient stuff is startlingly icy, but very beautiful for what it is and quite a departure from his ordinary fare. He is an expert producer. have you listened to the orb? brian eno? fsol's monstrous psychedelic bubble series? Old, but good. ambient four on land was an excellent album from brian eno, and i've listened to music for airports in an airport, and by God it worked.
i'm interested in good ambient too, but I don't know very much about it or how to approach it. I've written some, but there's so much to it beyond reverb and delay on strange sounds if you want to express something of wonder.
If you find out something good, anon, please clue me in.
