People who had a CS education shouldn't be allowed to call themselves software engineers. You need an engineering education to do that.

Most people who go to university for CS or software engineering programs would be better off just doing a programming bootcamp. They are not actually interested in the field and just endlessly complain how what they are studying is not marketable and fail all their courses. But since the universities get money from them, they will try to please these people and dilute their courses and teach hipster bullshit JavaScript frameworks and do job training instead of giving those who are actually interested a proper education.

These people are code monkeys, they are like the construction workers of the programming world. Make them attend a six month bootcamp and they will happily stagnate at a cushy job doing boring and repetitive work on some lame CRUD website that doesn't even need to exist. But don't let them keep the rest of the students down. They are holding progress back.
