No, rare actually. It's interesting because it's basically a 2lb steak for $5. The taste is similar to a rare steak but the texture is very satisfying. It's firm but not tough so you can slice off huge chunks that your teeth almost sink through. Even though a lot of the stuffing fell out, it caramelized nicely in the pan and tasted great heaped on top of the slices. I steamed some broccoli and cauliflower as a side and incidentally, was given a bottle of red wine that made it feel extra fancy. Highly recommended.
