I've been replying in this thread. There's no way to show that it's me of course.
In my mind, the perfect social media service has encrypted messaging, Geocities type profile pages and chronological sorting of posts from friends only.
All other types of social media features like public posts should be on different forums.
This is a crude idea. My objective is to make it less addictive. The way you make friends would be same as in in-game voice chats where you share your social media IDs for further contact.
