never smart enough to CS uni
I dont even have confidence on passing the cloud cert test. After reading the thing again and again, i still cant have it memorized. Thinking outside the box dont help either, the subject isnt one to need creativity.

Reading does not help with memorization. You need to close the book, take a pen and paper out, and write down everything that you remember. When you are done, check the book for what did you miss or get wrong. Think about why you forgot about it or got it wrong. Repeat the whole thing the next day.
This is a lot harder to do than just rereading the same thing again and again, the first time you try it it almost feels painful. But it is actually effective and will make you confident in your knowledge very quickly.

Is this scientifically proven or dicussed? Some school in china insisted they can just get by by "scrolling the book" very fast...
No, sorry, I can see my post is misleading like that. You need to repeat it daily until you get it right and it becomes easy. Don't do it more than once a day for a single topic, there's no point in it. Once it becomes easy you can increase the time between sessions: a few days, a week, a month, etc.
