I use libreoffice calc and was wondering if writing them down in yaml format is better. I just want to keep note of online accounts I have
Wouldn't it all be tracked by necessity when using a password manager?
You could post them in this thread.
Yaml is definitely better than bloated piece of libreoffice shit. Also, for tables you could use csv, it's easy to edit even with a plain text editor, still it will be rendered as a table in librecalc and similar. But you probably don't need a table format for your case, yaml is good.

I can remember complex passwords and dont necessarily need a manager. I know it would be better but idc.
https://www.passwordstore.org/
$ pass textboard.org
Error: textboard.org is not in the password store.
Write an ASCII text file and encrypt it with gpg.
$ emacs passwords.asc
$ gpg -c passwords.asc
$ rm passwords.asc
$ gpg -d passwords.asc.gpg
Use a piece of paper.
Use one password for everything and tattoo it on your inner thigh.
There is no need to store passwords in primitive digital formats. Make use of the powerful wetware that you have been given. It is technologically superior to any digital format currently in existence.

My powerful wetware is liable to erase recollection of events that happened minutes, or even seconds ago. I don't think it's wise to store 20 words long passphrases in it.

Don't have so many accounts then.
All my passwords are secret.
