Why does Sourceforge still exist?

I have anxiety attacks everytime I see a project is hosted on Sourceforge.

Multiple vcs support and mailing lists.
Freshmeat is heritage.
It's not microsoft.

Still pretty horrible with the broken mailing lists and downloads, the software apache forge is obviously bloated. You might as well use fossil.
