4chan had actually a very good April Fool's prank and it's still going on.
Posters using cancerous memes get infected, they infect boards and threads they're posting in and posters replying to them. Severity of infection is shown with zalgoization of the name field and gradients of green.
It's actually a revolutionary idea for an emergent, viral, self-moderating system.
