Eh, AI art is really good for as cheap as it is. I think we will look back on it some day with a rose tinted nostalgia, like how we view pixel art from old retro arcade games.
It sure beats working with a real artist for your DIY visual art needs. Most artists worth their salt shoot way way too high for good work to be affordable, and even beer money semi-volunteers from the college art department are insufferable to work with, too hot to trot.
I think for all the suckage of AI generate gobbledygook, it really is empowering for regular people who need relevant media. I don't know what the future holds though. Will it get good enough to become ambiguous? Will new forms of advertising as entertainment become remarkable? Can we open new arenas of expression somewhere in between machine-soul and men's dreams? Only time can tell, but I am hopeful for the future.
