dude, all that that CoC said was to respect people's identities and not throw hate on them based on ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc. that's all it says. it's just about respect. if you aren't respectful, you get booted out. it's not your role to debate someone's gender or whatever, you just *agree to disagree* and move on. working on open source is ultimately about good code and respect. making 41% jokes, for example (it's JUST an example, i'm not saying that you do that), doesn't involve code nor respect.

People should be expected to behave like adults

getting worked up on a document that tells people to behave like adults is not adult behavior.
