It's impossible to be "smart" in any capacity when using social media, alt or not.
It's impossible because to be "smart" when using social media requires the qualities of "smart decision making" which is at ends with its use.
It can't be reconciled because "smart decision making" requires a CLEAR INTENT where one derives BENEFIT from its use.
And the said BENEFIT is best fulfilled with the decided action; is this the only path toward said BENEFIT?
When analyzing social media, alt or not, one is only forced to conclude a few items:
* Social media is inferior in terms of building connections
* Social media is inferior in terms of entertainment (as though entertainment is a BENEFIT)
* Social media is inferior in terms of shitposting, looking at satirists of old
In addition:
* Social media exposes you to the constant tar in other's heads and you inevitably mistake that for reality
* Social media users revel in cowardice, in anger, in other vices and will inflict you
* Social media renders many inert, deaf, dumb, mute due to its passive nature
Social media is always a COPING MECHANISM at best, and reveals its users as dimwits who cannot build a path toward fulfilling themselves.
They put up with its negatives, for a - at best - marginal return.
Anyone who takes this deal is unavoidably "dumb."
