Do people still like classical music and theater in Russia? How is education these days, I hear you still have some very good universities, but maybe that lower levels have suffered (certainly they did in the 90s, is it better now?). I've been wondering how many of the staple Soviet institutions managed to survive Gorbachev's gullible idealism, Yeltsin's drunken bipolar corruption, and Putin's stagnation (pention reform doesn't fit into the narrative, but whatever).
