At first it was platinum with a dual asterism sapphire paired with two smaller oblong oval black star diopsides. Simple setting, ornate lace bezel is ok too, I think it could work. Considered and eventually didn't think filagree would be appropriate. It was to be inscribed on the inside with the words "family forever"
Fought to death with myself if a small diamond (doesn't have to be blue) on the inside of the band would be engaging or forgotten. Never was man enough in that regard to decide.
