I've cut all mainstream soycial media about year ago, but still..I find myself watching that Goolgl TV site? Is that because I've watched to much conventional TV in the childhood? What a stupid habit is implanted deep inside my brain.

There was reading, being a newsboy, milking the cows, playing stickball, fishing, doing chemistry experiments in the basement, taking your sketchbook out into the countryside, whist, paying a call on the neighbors, going to see the medicine show, etc.

There are a few suggestions given in http://textboard.org/sol/439 and I'm attempting to solicit more. You seem to hint already at the belief that it's not only habit, but also a lack of anything better to do, so you may benefit.

DOUBT

People visited their neighbors on a regular basis. If someone had nothing to do, they just went to the house of their neighbors, got in without even knocking on the door, and sat there for a while people were cooking or doing other stuff. Privacy was an unknown concept back in the days.

Privacy was an unknown concept back in the days.

With the right policies in place, privacy would once again be an unknown concept in the future.
