NEED MUSICAL TRAINING

1 2021-10-28 09:08

how do i train myself on pianos to be able to fluently press the notes i hum or memorize? and chooses notes that complement each other...either consonant or, able to neutralize dissonance?

basically being able to perform various phrases and scales with both of my hands and able to improvise or customize it in manners that covers the original music?

I have great skepticism for a person with stunted ability to write grammatically correct English. If you can prove that you have the skills to write correct English, then I would be willing to give hints to you.

Repeat, repeat, repeat. And when you are done with that start at the beginning. Believe me, in a couple of years you'll be grateful for me having shared this deep wisdom with you.

Hire a tutor to train you.

You need aural training to be able to play *intervals* you hear or hum. You won't be able to pick absolute notes unless your parents gave you aural training when you were very young. There are apps (GNU solfege is supposed to do it but I've never gotten it to grade my singing interval accuracy) for this or you can just sit in front of a piano and do it the old fashion way.

For improvising you need to understand theory. Piston's book is very good but I haven't found a place to pirate it (I got mine in a used book store in the mountains of Virginia.)

Of course you also need to know your instrument (whether it's singing or piano or guitar) and you'll need to be able to read sheet music. It doesn't take too much practice to get to the point where you're comfortable enough but it does take some.

i can pick absolute note by hearing. just like singing, that one is pretty basic. if you can sing like the song u sing and at least what... a class or a family think your choice of notes are correct, i think you can get the notes on the piano.

thats what ear training right?
i do sing in choir often, and no one said i made wrong. if any i can hit happy birthday fine.

but playing instrument, like singing
requires seems like... not just hearing it right but hand deftness to be able to press it right.... just like what they say "voicing".
