Power is actually a very fine thing to have, but authority comes from God alone- it is up to a man's heart as to how he uses it. Don't let the devil fool you into thinking that there are only bad apples at the top and that the only road to success is by hook & crook. There is a road.
Power is potentia? Like, the power to kill a swag, the power to breed, the power to breathe. There are many powers, and some are necessary for life. Of course a disparity of power can make unfair treatment very easy to happen.

Power does not corrupt, nor does it attract corruption necessarily. To maintain it however may require corruption, or exceptional skill, as all powerful men have enemies, and often these enemies would seek to remove them from power by any means necessary.
Perhaps not always but very often.
