End of the state of emergency

Why do I have to wear a mask despite being fully vaccinated? It doesn't make sense.

It isn't even so much about wearing the mask itself, but more about being scared that the police will attack me in case I forget it.

The vaccine prevents prevents you from having bad side effects, not from you not spreading the virus.

hot take: people who want to get vaccinated can. Why should I protect those who don't want to be protected?

people who want to get vaccinated can.

you'd also need to consider people with autoimmune disorders who can't get vaccinated, you might come to the same conclusion, I don't know.

I'd much rather have martial law for a few weeks (maybe in early 2020!), e.g. don't leave your homes under any circumstances without permission, and similar complete lock downs as necessary in areas where the plague spreads. The whole idea of using guilt to make people where face panties and hope this is enough to stop the thing is pretty idiotic.

I am fully vaccinated and I don't have to wear it.

Is our ethics seriously "The ill guy is evil cause he might infect me" now?

it reduces the range of spreading the virus below the usual 1.5 meters

>>2 I check this. You're right. But the probability of spreading the virus is also reduced.

autoimmune disorders

fair point.

I don't find it reassuring to see people so readily accept martial law. I think it's much more useful to have discussions like this and help people understand, rather than violently forcing them to stuff they don't believe in.

i'm for liberty. why not have like a cool incentive for people to get the shot, like a value meal or something? people would love that. value.

I'm not opposed to masks. I'm opposed to guilt as an enforcement mechanism, and the idea that masks are sufficient. Regarding the first issue in the US guilt clearly wasn't sufficient because many people never wore masks. Regarding the second this is the difference between the thinking of Japan and China, and the results speak for themselves.

I like results, in the case where a problem becomes quite literally exponentially worse the longer you delay, conversation may be a necessary casualty as far as I'm concerned. Ideally we would all live in our own polis and voice our concerns in the assembly but this is not the case, we have incompetency, corruption, placation, manipulation, lofty-ideas, and make-believe which leave no room for man.

You should continue wearing a mask to protect your face from non-free software.
