what board/card games do you like. is catan any good? I love looney pyramids and press your luck style games like yahtzee and cosmics snarkout. I also enjoy avalanche solitaire, klondike, and rummy from time to time.
Anyone play go? I'd love to get into it, but it's hard to find anyone who plays it. Chess too, but I'm terrible.
I think the set card game is fun too, and have played it for most of my life.

Best format where you rely on your judgement & skills rather than on bombs.

Playing tier-3 or brews is just a recipe for a severe trouncing and nothing else, and then sometimes it's not even fun. What I like is jank, but fine tuning good jank is often just a drift towards the tiers. it's exhausting.
With my friends we usually play Tichu. It's pretty fun.
