The Games Peopl3 Play

1 2024-09-15 20:58

There are eight games that people play that I want to talk about today.

1. I will pay you back next month. This one is easy to do. You just say something remotely believable and then tell them that you will pay them, once again, next month. Repeat for as long as it takes to get them to just accept that you will never pay them back, and then apologize and blame the weather for your bad luck.

2. Bring me some of that x,y, or z and I'll pay you back tomorrow. Same thing, but you get something out of it. Good for snacks.

3. There's already too much of that at home! This is for, whether it is true or not, you don't want to have to buy something that some one else wants. Be persistent

4. Bring me a dollar tomorrow and I'll give you fifty cents this week and fifty cents next week. Stall and make them wait on the first half until they're about to cry, then take the other half and buy something for yourself and tell them it has been so long, in so many words, that it has been long enough that you don't really need to pay them back. They're being petty and stingy.

5. Trust me. This one might as well be a statement that means "please don't ever trust me," but if it is repeated with gumption now and then, most people will buy it.

6. Tautologies and circular statements. All you have to do t9 get out of most things is just repeat the following words over and over. I didn't mean to. I'm sorry. Why not? Because I don't want to. Because I said so. Over and over. I dont know. I d9nt know. I don't know. People will stop arguing and accept this kind of bullshit as the truth every time.

7. Beating a dead horse. When anyone disagrees with you, call them names and rehash their most unpopular and or embarrassing mistakes, even and particularly if it has nothing to do with anything at all. Most people settle down after this one.

8. Being superior to everyone else is my ma8n goal in life and, although in good at it, worshipping me is the only appropriate thing to do, mostly. So watch this: do not give anyone your real name as long as you live. That's my advice to you.
