Not really a textboard, more like an imageboard with a lot of makeup to make it look like a textboard:

Both are dead but were deemed good enough for mewch advertising, it seems.

Okay, right, duh. No. I wanted to bump this thread too. Silly.
Not a textboard but 4taba.net was rewritten in Scheme!

Fresh.
But what's the purpose of all that ruby webapp directory structure then?
shinGETsu - P2P anonymous BBS
So, on the Tanasinn.info main-page, he says he's tired of ``ironic racism.'' Personallly, I could never stand it---racism is to ``ironic'' racism as punching a human in the face is to clubbing a human in the face (swinging parallel to the ground), landing on the tip of the nose, continuing through to just above the upper teeth, and then shoving a cock down that orifice, and blaming the corpse for mangling the cock. I don't really get how anyone could find the ``ironic'' racism in any way interesting.
My problem, though, is that I like making things that are, by first impression, construed as racist, that really are hardcore egalitarian, but this attracts such hyperracists.

New domain: https://msgbored.cf/
Textboards are not really popular in the western world but there's still quite a handful of them online. At this point it's safe to assume that every textboard user is hosting his own instance.

Can't post. Checking the Ready box gives this error:

Seems like 80% of the posts are made by the same two posters. It's kinda strange to see when a board's most frequent posters also use consistent names.
Cute site though, but also loads a lot of JS for what seems to be a simple textboard.
The Clojure backend seems pretty neat as well.

It's strange to see a person having a name not associated with each his act consider strange that a person has a name not associated with each his act.
This list needs to be curated.
http://textboard.net <- nice domain name, bro
Nice rounded corners too.

Anyway it's a bloated name, too long to type.
From the jargon file:

I miss it.

Go to a textboard to link to other textboards. Why you do this?
Also I think http://text.wizchan.org is dead.
Counts as textboard?

are there any pedo textboards?

Depends if you think textboards must allow anonymous posting. HN requires registration.
I personally would say no. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/textboard
How many still up?
>>55
It doesn't matter, they're all shit except tinychan.
How about some good imageboards site? Or is it a forbidden discussion?
why on earth would you want to be a part of an imageboard? A private one for a small group of people would be ok, but a lot of the appeal to anonymous boards is that somebody can just stop by and say something of quality real quick and bounce without the registration process.
If you really want an image with your discussion, just link to it here. All of that weird "meme" garbage (are those really memes or just shitty propoganda?) isn't worth a thing, and beyond a lack of userbase, the future- as sad as it may be, is right are your fingertips. I don't see it getting much better than this for a public anonymous text board.
are those really memes or just shitty propoganda?
Memes where always a psychological operation. The network has always been dead, move on.

This one suits me though.
I wish the emacs mode was better though.
But it's pretty good.

lol at the silly poster putting imgur links for pictures; he doesn't get the point of a textboard...
words words words its all you textboarders ever do!
>>78
That's way better than the irrelevant images typically posted by imageboarders to accompany the main text. Textboards merely get rid of the irrelevant (images) to focus more on the relevant (text). If you like images so much, why don't you set up a pure image imageboard that has almost no text?
😂
>>79 actually looked into this. People will post images with text or images of text.
irrelevant images typically posted by imageboarders to accompany the main text.
I usually include pictures of anime girls with my posts. It's considered polite to do so.
>>82
What shitty politeness is that? The true polite thing is to include relevant pictures to the posts. Posts that are not about the picture is not polite at all.
